Activision has been named the #1 U.S. console and handheld publisher for the month of October according to new numbers released by the NPD Group. This achievement is largely attributed to the success of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock which earned the top slot for best-selling title across all platforms, even though it was only out for one week this October.


With heavy-hitter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare securing hefty sales since its November 5th release, could Activision expect to own November as well?
