Ever wondered what a next-gen roster of world warriors could look like?
While perusing
Capcom Unity, Capcom's official blog, we got a glimpse of a cool
post by Senior Community Lead Seth Killian, who's known for his love of all things
Street Fighter. He linked over to a
thread at Game Artisans, a site devoted to fostering networking among 3D artists via competitive projects. Game Artisans, it seems, decided to sponsor a contest as
Street Fighter IV's release draws closer. The results, as you'll see, are worth taking a glimpse at.
Sterling says: File this under "cool." If this isn't a worthy calling card for some of these artists, I'm not sure what else they'll have to do. I'm not sure I'd want such a hyper-detailed 3D
SF, but man, I'm marveling at these designs, and the evolutionary process behind them. The
Guile model is going above and beyond the requirements, but the other busts contain amazing detail too. This is the kind of stuff that puts a smile on my face while I'm perusing the web for interesting news articles, and hopefully, it'll do the same for you.
