Team Ninja is an acclaimed internal development team for videogame publisher Tecmo. The team was formed around iconoclast game designer Tomonobu Itagaki (who departed in July of 2008) and has produced titles such as Dead or Alive, DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball, and the 3D revival of Ninja Gaiden.
