Griptonite Games

Griptonite Games is the leading developer of high quality, fun games for console and handheld platforms. Its veteran team members are not only experts at taking full advantage of each system's unique capabilities, they are also experts at designing games that combine solid gameplay with mass market appeal. The company has a track record working with licensed properties, having developed titles based on major film franchises including Harry Potter, Spider-Man, and The Lord of the Rings and also established gamer brands like The Sims, Assassin's Creed, and Age of Empires. The studio's titles span most major videogame platforms, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS/DSi, and PlayStation Portable.

Griptonite joined Foundation 9 Entertainment (a collective of independent software developers) in 2006.

In August of 2011, the company was acquired by Glu Mobile. This acquisition included its studio teams in Washington state, and also its integrated art and development support from Griptonite's Hyderabad, India facility.
