Titan Studios was formed to create original games with exceptional production values, and core technologies that extend the functionality of Epic Games' award-winning Unreal Engine. The team was a wholly owned subsidiary of Epic Games China and was based in Seattle, Washington. The company was composed of senior developers with prior experience at Ubisoft, Epic Games, Scion Studios, Blizzard Entertainment, and Lionhead Studios. In addition to producing its own titles and original IP, Titan Studios was established to provide additional time zone support to partners using Epic Games China's outsourcing services.
Titan Studios was formerly known as Darkstar Industries, but changed its name in November of 2008.
Titan Studios released its debut title Fat Princess in 2009. Despite acclaim, the company was short-lived, and was officially dissolved in 2011.
